Comic: Behind the Veil

I’ve been looking for an excuse to sound off on “Caprica” ever since the direct-to-video pilot hit shelves. While she show feels (more or less) fully realized, it has so many strikes against it that any attempt I might make to watch it would fall into the trap of trying to enjoy it “for what it is.” As in, in spite of the fact that it’s a prequel (which I hate), and the fact that the concept was overdone and then forgotten about 10 years ago, and the fact that I don’t actually like any of the stars or the characters they play, I’ll keep watching it for a while.

No, I’m good. I wish the show all the luck in the world, but this is where I get off the ride.

So how are you doing? As I said, today’s is the first strip of Arc 3, which will be a little more plot-oriented than the previous two arcs. Which is to say there will actually BE a plot. So, we’ll see how that goes.

Stick around. More fun to come.

The judges would have also accepted “It also has Lawnmower Man 2″. as Dean’s final line. Add “Jobe’s War” if you want to be a completest.

Oh, was that a TekWar reference at the end?

Or it could’ve been a Brisco County Jr. line. Or M.A.N.T.I.S. Or Strange Luck. I used to be a real connoisseur of crap genre television, in those bellweather pre-Kevin Sorbo days…

    3. The Captain

Pretty sure that Brisco County Jr. was bereft of virtual reality references… but you keep your early ’90s Fox, and I’ll keep mine.
