In the Venn diagram that shows who this comic is aimed at, we have four circles: all the people who know what an MCSE is (It’s a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Mom), all the people who are familiar with server virtualization, all the people who are familiar with Fullmetal Alchemist, and all the people who read this strip. So, I say to the 0.02 people who enjoyed this strip, you’re welcome.
For what it’s worth, the budding idea for this script nearly made me swerve off the road in a hysterical fit of laughter. It was very much born from listening to Malcolm’s real-world analogue go on at great, excruciating length about setting up virtual server nodes in the classrooms at the school where he worked. He holds forth passionately on the subject; moreso, I believe, when he knows that the people listening have no idea what he’s talking about.
Big ups to Andrea for doing most of the work on this, the second of our double-sized production scripts. (Check out that magic computer there, wouldja? The girl’s an Illustrator ninja.) This piece effectively ends our second arc, which means I need to come up with a new chapter title by Wednesday next.
Have a great weekend, all. See you Monday with a review of “Extraordinary Measures,” “Legion” or “The Tooth Fairy.” Jesus, what a choice…I hate this time of year…
