In high school, it always seemed weird to me that the punchlines in sitcoms were never quotes from other TV shows. Among my little circle of friends, the best punchlines came not from cleverness, but from The Simpsons.
While the members of my current bekanntenkreis are a little more original, the coins of the realm are still memorization and juxtaposition, and the most points are awarded for figuring out which Venture Brothers quote makes the most sense in a given situation.
This strip sets events in motion which will lead to the tragedies and travails of the as-yet unnamed Arc 3, which is set to start the last week in January. Here’s a hint: it involves ham and madness. Stay tuned, kids.
