Comic: Curriculum Vitae Vidi Vici

Everytime someone asks me to help them with their cover letter, I set out to create the ultimate, go-for-the-jugular, kill-a-man’s-soul-by-looking-into-his-eyes first impression. And it has never worked. Not once. Okay, maybe once, when I wrote a letter for my current job, but by then the dull ache of constant rejection that comes with any proper job hunt had smothered my letter-writing fire somewhat. Probably for the best; I love my current job.

Strip19_KickerAnyway, glad you’re here for Week 12 of our humble little presentation. This marks the end of the third month of Evil Arts and Crafts, which as fine a milestone to mark as any. I gotta tell you, I’m pretty proud to have made it even this far. Granted, the overhead is pretty much nothing and there’s no one to exercise editorial control (with the exception of Andrea–if she doesn’t laugh, it doesn’t go up), but as a matter of personal willpower and just keeping to the grindstone every week, I’m pretty happy with how things are turning out.

And, as far as celebratory strips go, I’m glad that this one is posting this week, as this one is probably my new favorite. While I was a little hesitant to introduce Malcolm this early on (originally, this arc was going to be entirely Mittens-centric), he has turned out to be one of my favorite characters to write. Plus, his quest gave me the chance to use today’s punchline, which was something Andrea came up with one night in a wild, snorting frenzy of non sequiteur glory. Long live the king.
