Happy Monday! Normally, we’d have a movie review strip here, but I couldn’t bear the thought of choosing between “Legion” and “The Tooth Fairy”, so I didn’t. The missus and I DID see “Up in the Air”, though, which was brilliant. It’s official–I’m seeing anything that Jason Reitman makes from here on.
It’s got a fantastic bit of acting by my man George Clooney, which made a story which was something of a downer already into a really, really effective downer. Between that and catching the last three episodes of Conan on Hulu last night, there’s sort of a funereal tone this Sunday evening at the Luke-and-Andrea household. (And don’t even get Andrea started on the campaign finance decision by the Supreme Court.)
So, yeah, not the best note to start a new week on, but hey, nowhere to go from here but up, eh? With that, I hope you enjoyed our little “jumping-on” point where we get any newcomers up the speed with our core cast. We’ve had quite a few new visitors in recent days, as we’ve had a lot of success posting our comics on Reddit. Welcome aboard, all you new folks. Stick around–the next story arc begins on Wednesday!
