Today’s comic is what we informally refer to as a “production strip.” As in, “Fun Times in Sex Town” is an Evil Arts and Crafts Production. The plan is, once an arc, we do a double-length mega-strip, when the boys and girls of our sad little fictional amateur production troupe break out the cameras and put on a show for their YouTube channel. Because really, what’s the fun of doing a comic strip if you don’t get to do the big fancy Sunday comic, too?
A few notes:
Today we meet two new characters, Malcolm and Mittens, who will be the focus of the new arc, which officially starts with Tuesday’s strip. Welcome to the fold, guys.
I reused Angie’s cell phone as an element in the title cards this week. The reason for this is because I spent a relatively long time building it, and it seemed a waste to just use anything that took two hours to build just once. Plus, I’m half color blind, so when I come up with a color combination that strikes me as pleasing (as with the little Saturn symbol on the phone’s interface), you’re damn right I’m going to revel in it.
Bronson’s hands are smaller than everyone else’s. It’s a little detail, but it’s beginning to drive me crazy. Add to that the fact that Andrea based Malcolm’s design on Bronson’s and now we have two characters with sad little freak mitts. Something’s going to have to be done.
Yes, both of the Japanese prostitutes are being played by Mel. That’s not me being lazy–that’s Dean’s fancy split-screen special effects juju. Seriously.

Oops, really? Because I’ve been using the same hands for everyone, pulling them out of an illustrator symbol library that I made. Live and learn!
